OPEN-AIR MUSEUM STÜBING
In just a few hours’ time, you can walk through the whole of Austria, from Burgenland to Vorarlberg, while experiencing the idyllic surroundings, the unique architecture and way of life, as well as learn more about typical regional tools of bygone days—all possible in the Open-Air Museum Stübing. Experience a world of rural life and work in a side valley of the Mur in about one hundred original rural buildings spanning 6 centuries.

SCYTHE FORGE MUSEUM
Today, the large factory serves as a museum. The rooms around the impressive production plant with its huge water wheels are also an atmospheric and popular setting for theater performances, concerts and art exhibitions. For example, the musical “Walpurgis Night” and the “Indian Summer Market” take place here.

CISTERCIAN MONASTERY "STIFT REIN"
About 20km from the city, the baroque Rein Abbey picturesquely stands out against the surrounding green hills. Cistercian monks have lived here continuously since 1129, making it the oldest Cistercian monastery in the world that is still active. The baroque abbey church radiates sublime beauty, its library contains medieval manuscripts from the monastery’s own writing room, and the extensive surrounding woods invite you to a leisurely stroll or adventurous hike.

WATER-THEMED TRAIL ÜBELBACH
Observe, see, hear, feel and taste – water is present everywhere and can be discovered in many different ways on the water-themed trail in Übelbach (WWW-WasserWissensWelt)!
Hikers can experience a special treat during the summer months with the Lipizzaner Adventure Tour on the Gleinalm. When they are young, the world-renowned Lipizzaner mares spend their summer break at the Brendlalm. Located only a 25-minute walk from the Gleinalm mountain shelter, you can learn all about the summer retreat of the young Lipizzaner mares during a detailed tour of the alpine pastures. Tickets are only available at the Gleinalm mountain shelter.

CYCLING IN THE REGION
The surroundings of Übelbach and the “Landhaus am Bach” can also be discovered and explored by bike or e-bike. Numerous tours lead through the idyllic landscape, whether on mountain bike trails or through leisurely tours along the Mur trail suitable for families. The “Landhaus am Bach” offers ideal opportunities for cycling enthusiasts and those who want to get started. LEISURE CENTER BAD WEIHERMÜHLE
Natural lake with a wide range of facilities: children’s playground with slides, swings, a sandpit, a beach by the shore, water slides, water games, a trampoline, 3 beach volleyball courts, a bowling alley, table tennis, pedal boat rental, and sun loungers and parasols rentals. JOGGING & YOGA
You can start directly from our guesthouse – jog along the creek on the left – across the small wooden bridge and follow the signs towards “Sängersteig”. Once there, you can continue towards Alter Markt and back to “Landhaus am Bach”. This trail is about 4 kilometers long.
